SCY for Runners morning today. Having a quiet running week so strength sessions filling the gap. Generally all feels good. The tight hamstring is feeling fine which is great.
2023 Q1 is nearly done and it’s been a good one. 2022 was massively focussed on my goal of lining up in Coverack in late January to take on the MudCrew Arc of Attrition 100 miles race. I had such an amazing experience and to complete that in under 27 hours was just beyond my wildest expectations. I loved every moment. Such great people both taking part and supporting. It really was an absolute leading example of how the trail running community come together for an event to support everyone in their goals.
Got to love sale purchase delivery day 😁
Quiet week.
21 miles on the trails around the Ridgeway. There’s mud and mud and more mud out there! In places traction was near impossible and getting any sort of running rhythm impossible. Downhills were tricky due to the chalk surface which in the wet has turned into an ice rink in places. I’m grateful for my Inov-8 Roclite Ultra shoes which did a good job at keeping me upright!
Intervals!
